Little Lady

Mere words can not convey how very interesting it is to be Ella's mama and observe her progress each and every day... but I will try.

Here are a few examples of recent cuteness:

When asked where her daddy is, she says, "San Diego," which I have only had to tell her once. And it's quite cute the way she says it :-)

Ella loves to sing. And sing loudly. Right now, she's stuck on her ABCs, as well as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Row Row Row Your Boat, and the Sesame Street Theme song. Whenever I sing with her, she ends with, "Good job singing, Mommy." Awwwww.....

Since returning from Montana, I have decided to do away with the pacifier. For good. So I told Ella that we were sending it to Cousin Josie (my cousin Sarah's darling little newborn who we met in MT), as she was a baby and needed it more than Ella (total LIE!—who wants a used pacifier?). It has been going fine, though Ella is a little angry with Josie from time to time (sorry Sarah!). Long story short—Ella wakes up earlier in the a.m. now without her "'fier" to help her back to sleep. This morning at 5 am, I heard her crying for me and went in to tell her it was still nighttime (somewhere). Then I got back in bed. She proceeded to yell at me, "Mommy, no sleeping! You're supposed to wake up!"... repeatedly. After about 15 minutes (of giggling to myself), I went to get her. Smarty pants.

Last night, Ella ate broccoli. I about cried. She has been shunning green vegetables for about... forever. So when she asked to eat some of my "trees" at dinner, I was ecstatic. And she went back for more after declaring, "I like these, Mommy. Yummy in my tummy!" Wow.

I could go on... and on. That's how cute (I think) Ella is :-)

Last night, Ella told me, "I'm a princess. You're a bad guy." I guess that just about sums it up.
