Four Months

It's hard to believe that it's been four months since I pushed this baby out... Rowan is growing so fast and is still such a joy to be around. We took her in for her four-month appointment this morning and she's 14 lbs, 2 oz (58%) and 25.5 inches long (91%)— much larger than Ella was at her age. She's still not rolling over (HATES tummy time), but has great head control and loves sitting up in her Bumbo. Rowan's also started sucking her thumb (she won't take a pacifier), which is really cute—hopefully it doesn't become a problem in the future. She's very chatty and especially loves talking to herself in the mirror :-)

Rowan and Ella are already good buddies. Ella can make Rowan laugh like it's nobody's business. And it is hilarious. But Ella is still a little jealous of all of the attention Rowan gets. Ella likes to try to make me feel guilty from time to time, accusing me of loving Rowan more, etc. I just try to remind her that Rowan needs me a bit more right now, and that she was the same way when she was a baby. It's not always easy to reason with a six-year-old, but we're trying.

In other news, we dropped Brady off at the airport this morning and he won't be back for two weeks. So if anyone wants to come for a visit, now's a good time! Being alone with the two of them is definitely going to be challenging. Rowan has had two colds back to back. I'm getting sick of having to suck snot out of her nose every hour/nurse her several times at night. Poor girl. I'll blame it on Ella and all the germs she brings home from school :-(
