Super Ella!

So, I asked Ella if she would rather go to the store, the gym, or the library. She said, "to the rescue!"

This was followed by, "No. I'll just stay here by myself."

I did not follow either of her suggestions.

Last weekend, Ella and I ventured up north (just north of Seattle) to visit an old friend—Dana. I hadn't seen her since high school (a LONG time ago). We had a wonderful time! I even got to go out to dinner—sans Ella! Lovely. :-)

This is what happens when Brady's gone...

You wouldn't know it from the pictures, but we do miss him. Brady's in Norfolk, VA until February 2nd (and he's already been gone a week). I have been filling my time with lots of work (actually a good thing), trips to the library and the gym... and lots of cooking! I can tell that Ella misses her daddy, and that she's a bit sick of me (perhaps it's the "stop talking to me," "don't look at me," and "I want Daddy" that give it away). But despite it all, we're trying to have fun. Ella helped me wash the car today, and we made bread... for the second night in a row :-)

Brady, if you're reading this, we miss you! Come home, eh?
